Aims and Objectives of the group:
To afford a social occasion where people can meet and exercise the mind in the making of music. Where opportunities present themselves the group seeks to provide concert programmes to external groups in the Dunstable/Luton area.
Any expertise needed:
The group is open to all-comers with no pre-requisite of knowledge of music and an ability to read it.
Equipment needed (rough costs if any): None.
Maximum number permitted in the group: 14
Location, day and time of meetings:
1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
A brief description of a typical meeting:
The group can have up to 12 playing members, each member generally using 2 hand chimes. In the main meetings are geared to the learning and rehearsing of a variety of pieces of music. Where numbers are less then other music can be called on using fewer numbers of chimes. Each session is broken up with a refreshment break so making for a good social occasion overall.
