Dunstable

Welcome To Dunstable U3A

Because of Coronavirus and in accordance with Government Guidelines our Monthly Meetings are cancelled until further notice.

Outdoor activities can now restart with the updated Government Guidelines and our Risk Assessment process being adhered to. Other Group activities and outings remain suspended until further notice.

We are a self-help group with nearly one thousand members who enjoy coming together to continue our interest in lifelong learning. We are a registered charity and operate under the umbrella of the Third Age Trust.

We hold monthly meetings on the third Monday of every month, with a variety of speakers, and we offer monthly trips organised by the social committee and a wide programme of activities run by members. As I write we have nearly one hundred groups offering a range of activities which are shown in the group activities section.

In October 2019 it was our twentieth anniversary and we celebrated in a number of different ways. We organised a joint walk involving six of the walking groups and at the monthly meeting there was a large display of the work undertaken in the groups showing crafts, academic groups, videos of many of the activity groups and much more.

Regular monthly meetings are held on the third Monday of the month at the Methodist Church, The Square, Dunstable. The entrance is opposite Wilkinson’s and doors open at 1.15pm.

Three times a year we send out a newsletter with the latest information on events and all members are eligible to receive Third Age Matters circulated by the Third Age Trust.

I hope that you can find something to interest you from the information on this website but feel free to contact me (by email via the Contact Page) or come along to a monthly meeting if you have any further queries.

We are a very friendly group of people who have made good friendships within our individual and wider groups and you would be made to feel very welcome.
