Egyptology

Group Leader Ian Lancaster

The aim of this group is to develop members’ interests in the incredible culture of Ancient Egypt.

In these uncertain times it is unclear when face to face meetings and visits will resume. In the meantime, there will be presentations on zoom covering the topics that would have been discussed at the monthly meetings. I will try to organise a talk each month, usually on the fourth Monday at 2.00pm, much as before. The mailing list for the group will be used to send out invitations.

The next talk is scheduled for Monday 23 November at 2.00pm and will be entitled "Ladies of the Two Lands". This will consider the lives of two of Egypt's most well known queens - Hatshepsut and Nefertiti.
