2019/2020 SEASON
TRIP TO KESWICK - 16th - 20th OCTOBER 2019

Eleven of us did the trip and had a great time, unfortunately Judith had to cancel at the last minute but we hope she's feeling a lot better now. Most of us stuck the course and thoroughly enjoyed the six plays and we all had different choices as to the top play, but definitely the play that came last on the list was 'Dear Uncle', an adaptation of Chekhov's play 'Uncle Vanya' by Alan Ayckbourn and we wondered why he'd bothered. A photo on the right shows the happy bunch before some of us came home.

NEXT MEETING - WEDNESDAY 20th NOVEMBER 2019
Our next get together is this coming Wednesday 20th November, when Angela is doing a presentation on 16/17th century Women Playwrights. We went to see a play in Stratford by Mary Pick who was the most well know playwright in the 1700s but nobody now knows her.

CHRISTMAS LUNCH - WEDNESDAY 18th DECEMBER 2019
Margaret (Ord) has now booked the WHITE HART in Sankey Street for our Christmas Lunch on the 18th December. For anyone wishing to join us, Margaret needs a £5 deposit and choice of menu (2 or 3 courses) by our next Bold Street meeting which is on Wednesday 13th November 2019.
