Art for All (Practical Techniques)
Group Leader Aleks Partington
There are currently five Art for All groups:
- Acrylics and Mixed Media Beginners
- Acrylics and Mixed Media
The groups meet on a Thursday at Fairfield and Howley Neighbourhood and Community Centre, Fairfield Street, Warrington WA1 3AJ. There is a large car park and the centre is on various bus routes along Manchester Road. There is good cafe on site for tea, coffee, snacks and lunches.
Our year runs from September to June. Each group normally meets twice a month, and we also have special workshops and/or demonstration days, an annual Art for All meal and an art holiday. We hold our annual exhibition jointly with the Photography group at the end of June.

Workshops or similar events — see below. Workshops at Fairfield normally run from about 10am to 4pm and are limited to 16 places.
You will need to fill in an Art for All Enrolment Form. It is quite important that you give a correct email address and telephone number so that you can be contacted with notes for the sessions.
You can elect to be in any class but must be free to attend regularly. Tutors will help select the most appropriate group for returners. Because of the size of the room, each group is limited to 20 members, although waiting lists will be made if any groups are oversubscribed. Members who miss three or more meetings without good reason may lose their place to a person on the waiting list.
Equipment and materials
You will need to provide your own equipment as advised by your tutors, who will recommended what to buy and suggest places to get it. There are also some emergency supplies in the cupboard.
Any materials that tutors order for you must be accompanied by an order form and full payment at the time of ordering. It is, however, preferable that you get the equipment needed yourselves.
