Mandolin

Group Leader Carol Tamblin

The Mandolin Group is a place where you can explore this beautiful musical instrument.

The mandolin can be heard on many recordings such as The Theme from Doctor Zhivago (Somewhere my love) and The Godfather. It has a strong roll in bluegrass music, Irish music and of course the beautiful Italian tremolos. All within your reach....come and join us, you will be made very welcome.

We use mandolin tabs so you don't need to read music although music notation is available too.

We meet once a month on Tuesdays 1.30pm – 3.30pm. Our dates are listed on the Dates sub page at the right of the screen.

We're in Alford Hall, Manchester Road, WA1 3NJ. Alford Hall have a car park which is at the rear of the building and our room is upstairs and there is a lift.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you require more information, just click the message button in the top right of your screen.
