The Badminton Group is now well established and flourishing. The group meets for two hours at the Queens Park Pavilion from 2.00pm to 4.00pm on a Thursday. We have a range of players, ranging from complete beginners to reasonably experienced players. We are a very sociable group.

The Group is divided into two sub Groups. The more experienced players play from 2.00 - 3.00, and the less experienced players and beginners play from 3.00 - 4.00. There is a charge for playing, to cover the cost of hiring the hall and purchasing shuttles. More experienced players are welcome to play for 2 hours and pay accordingly as it will help the less experienced players to improve.

Members contribute between £1.50 and £2.50 for a session (depending on numbers), which covers the cost of the hall, net, and shuttles. We do have some spare racquets, so if anyone wants to give it a try, they do not have to commit to purchasing a racquet until they have decided that this is for them.

Coaching for beginners will be provided. Any would-be players can either come along to the Pavilion or get in touch with the Groups co-ordinator. However, we should stress that this group is for Caterham U3A members only.
