Music appreciation 2
When | Fortnightly, Wednesday 10-12 noon |
Where | Caterham Valley |
After a few minutes of friendly social chat and a cup of proper coffee, we settle down to listen to a 90-minute programme of recorded music presented by each of our members in turn. We like the music to be entirely classical, but any period, from Gregorian chant to Stockhausen, will be listened to with mixed reactions. The presenter might talk about his or her selection, and some discussion often takes place afterwards. Programmes may have a particular theme or may be a random selection from the presenter's collection. We particularly like to hear music which is new to us and is rarely featured on Classic FM.
Off-road parking is available for five vehicles, but we are within easy walking distance of central Caterham. The group is currently full, but places might become available in the near future.
