Using Computers, Smartphones and Tablets
Since its establishment many years ago the Computer Help Desk had helped over a hundred members with their Computers and Tablets.
Reflecting the changing ways in which we now access information and contact one another, although there is no longer a regular Computer Help Desk at Wilfred House, we continue to provide advice to those members seeking help in making better use of their Smartphones, Tablets or Laptops.
Smart phone underused? Are you using your phone or tablet as effectively as you could? Maybe just using it for phone call purposes or the occasional Google search? For example, you may wish to extend its usefulness by installing an email app that allows you to monitor emails as they arrive, rather than 'firing up' your laptop when you get home. Or maybe make use of the banking apps that are now so convenient? If you're interested, please contact Philip Jackson on gaxone@gmail.com or give him a call on 077867 88411 and he'll arrange a few select advice sessions (with maybe a maximum of 3 people in each) at Wilfred House during the Open House coffee mornings.
We intend to provide tailored training courses to small groups in areas of everyday functionality – as in, for example, using smartphone apps for email access or for scanning documents. For further information please contact Philip Jackson.
