New chairs in Wilfred House.
The new chairs in Wilfred House have been purchased by the U3A committee for the ease of use by our members who may find sitting and rising without the aid of arms on the chair difficult.
This is in line with our commitment to Inclusion for all our members and we would request
`that those members who benefit most are given priority on their use.Thank you for your understanding.
We have been fortunate to make arrangements with some of the ladies from Country Market to continue with the refreshment service at our coffee morning for your enjoyment (also helped by U3A members). We hope that you will continue to come along and meet with your friends and enjoy a ‘cuppa’ together. New members are especially welcome - come and get to know other U3A members and meet some of the Committee who are usually there should you have any queries.
Come at meet your friends or make new ones .It's an ideal time to look at what's on our Notice Board .Get all the gossip on our latest activities, book trips etc. and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee if you wish.

UTTOXETER U3A XMAS XTRAVAGANZA 2019
The U3A Committee is presenting an Xtravaganza, on 18th December, as a celebration of Christmas and to showcase the performance work being done by several groups. There will be entertainment from the drama, recorder, singing and ukulele groups; as well as a smorgasbord of refreshments to keep you going.
The event will start with mulled wine/soft drinks, and tables will be laden with a range of breads and cheeses, dips and nibbles. The programme consists of a dramatic presentation, complete with music and song; continue with a joint music piece; and sashay into a session from our own Ukulele Orchestra. There will be a break for more conversation , tea/coffee and mince pies - with music provided by the Recorder Group - and conclude with a session from the U3A Singers, whose programme includes some well-known carols.
A ticket will cost £3 and is priced to cover the cost of refreshments alone. There will only be 85 tickets available on general sale, because of the size of the Hall and the number of performers taking part, and they will be available from Wednesday 20th November at the Coffee Morning.
We do hope you will be able to join us. This is a unique occasion and enables us to celebrate Christmas, as well of the work being done by all our groups; as exemplified by the performers on show.
Pamela Merrett [Chairman] & Rob Hawkins [Business Manager]
As a result, there will be no Coffee Morning, on that date, but we hope that regulars will be joining us at the event.
