Did you miss out on the chance of studying physics at school? Or did you go to physics classes without really getting to grips with it at all? Why not give it another try with our Friday morning u3a Physics group? You don’t need to have any previous scientific knowledge in order to enjoy these sessions.
For the next few weeks we will be re-visiting the topic of Cosmology, beginning with a session or two on gravitational waves and how they are detected. New members are always welcome and if you are interested in joining the physics group for this series of sessions, let me know. Please note that there will be no sessions on 24th or 31st May.
We meet at 10 am on Friday mornings during school term time, at Wilfred House, and sessions last for 1½ hours, with a short half-time break and are designed to be accessible whatever your level of scientific knowledge. If you didn’t study physics at school don’t let that put you off!.
Ideas for future topics are always welcomed, so if you would like to join our group to learn more about a particular physics topic, please get in touch.
If you would be interested in joining our group, please let me know, and feel free to contact me if you would like more information by clicking on the Blue Bird. Why not come along and see what you think?
