Folk Musicians
The group meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month, from 2pm to 4pm, at the Duke of York, Greenhill, Lichfield.
The Folk Musicians group was formed in January 2016.
Members play a variety of instruments which include a flute, penny whistle, piano accordion, fiddles, melodeons (diatonic accordions), English and anglo concertinas, tenor and five string banjos, acoustic guitars, bass guitars bodhran and other percussion instruments. Musicians of all abilities are welcome in the group, including beginners and improvers and it is encouraging to quote one of our members who comments: “Differing levels of ability are encompassed and beginners, who take on a challenge like myself with the acoustic bass guitar, find it a supportive learning environment”.
