Food Matters
From soil, to seed, to plate, and effects on our health!
Our group meets at the Garrick Theatre in Lichfield, every other Tuesday (irrespective of number of Tuesdays in a month) from 11am – 12.30pm.
Food supply is a vast and complex, ever-changing subject, with global climate, (and political) complications. No one topic can ever be covered in its entirety, but the journey we take to discover more should be an eye-opener, and a game-changer.
This discussion group is aimed at anyone who has an interest in food matters, and how it may affect our health. Resources will be made available, and members should expect to prepare for each fortnight’s topic by reading or viewing, as much, or as little of them, as is possible. Some examples of topics are Factory Farming, Environmental Pollution, Farming Methods, Food Labelling, Additives & Preservatives, Food & Gut microbiome, Food Code & laws.
