This group was established to encourage friends meeting for informal evening meals in a social and friendly environment . We meet in restaurants in the vicinity of Lichfield in the evenings.
The “club” numbers have steadily increased, and now up to 70.
The “club” is still a good way for new Members to join in and discover what else happens in Lichfield; and the U3A, and, enjoy good food, wine, and good company.
Members of the 'Curry Club' have eaten Italian, Chinese, British and Indian this past year, and hope to continue their international eating in the future. It has proved an opportunity for new members of Lichfield U3A to get acquainted, and it has always provided a means to discover and rediscover old and new friends.
It would be good to say that the mealtime conversations were highbrow and intellectual, but they aren't.
Membership numbers stand at over 60. Plans to regroup are simmering.
