In the light of the government’s announcement of 23rd March all monthly general meetings, outings and group meetings are suspended until further notice.

Further updates on future meetings will be made and announced via this website and our monthly Bulletin; the latter is distributed monthly by email and updates from it will be posted on this website.

This could be used if you are anxious or want to get in touch with others but don’t have any details. We will obviously ensure all our responsibilities relating to GDPR are catered for.

This is a unique situation and members are encouraged to use social media, Facetime, SKYPE, ZOOM and other "face to face" technologies to stay in contact with friends and family.

In addition to the group meetings [please see individual group details for meeting times] we hold a monthly speaker meeting at 2pm on the second Wednesday of each month which is open to all members and new members are welcome to attend.

This is also a meeting at which the committee members are available to interact with members and group leaders are able make announcements.

The monthly speaker meetings will be held at The Guildhall, Bore Street, Lichfield Please check the website EVENTS as the venue may change.

The venue complies with the DAA but if you require disabled access we need prior notice so that arrangements can be made prior to your arrival. Please contact us with your details via the CONTACT button above.

If you cannot attend our monthly speaker meeting and would like any further information on Lichfield U3A please send us your details via the CONTACT button above.

We would like to make it clear that you can still join our U3A even if you cannot attend the monthly Speaker Meetings but are able to attend individual group meetings.

Visits to DMS Whittington in 2020

I have arranged for Lichfield U3A to have places on visits [see dates below] during 2020. We are restricted initially to 10 in each group, although there may be more places if they are not filled by others.

The evenings start at 7pm and finish at 9.30pm, and they consist of an opening address from the Commanding Officer and then a tour of some of the key areas on site, followed by tea and coffee with the opportunity to view the Whittington Tapestry. Members will meet at DMS Whittington.

There is quite a lot of walking involved in the tour but DMS Whittington can arrange transport for anyone who would prefer it – please let me know when you respond.

If you are interested in joining one of these visits please contact J. Thorpe by clicking onto the CONTACT link at the top of the page and leave a message and your contact details. J.Thorpe
