Local Explorers
A new group - visiting the quirkier places in our local area.
So far we have had a tour of Bank Hall and the Atkinson in Southport.
Following a recent visit Dewlay’s Cheese Factory, one of our members commented
‘Before I went I knew the basics but Louise's presentation really kept my interest throughout as we we watched the manufacturing process take place before our very eyes. That gave me such an insight and knowledge to pass on to others. I will reflect upon it whenever I eat a piece of cheese as I did this evening!’
Rivington Pigeon Tower Open Day
Saturday 4th May
The tower will be open from 10.00 - 3.00.
There is a small photo exhibition inside and volunteers will be available to tell you about the history.
There is no charge and no need to book but all donations welcome
