Music styles used for Line Dancing include pop, swing, rock & roll, as well as country & western and even a waltz rhythm.
This is a fun way of exercising to music and remembering the dances provides a workout for the little grey cells as well!
We dance in Mawdesley Village Hall on Thursday afternoons from 1.30 - 3.00 pm..
Our current programme of Beginners Line Dancing sessions started in September 2023 and we have now introduced more than 30 dances. All these dances are either Beginner or Absolute Beginner level dances. The majority of them can be watched on YouTube which is a very helpful way of reviewing the steps and the count.
Carole, Sandra and Josie lead these sessions. Help is also provided by many of our experienced dancers who dance on each of the 4 "walls" so that the less experienced dancers have someone to follow when we turn to a new "wall".
There is no dancing on 2 May as the Hall is needed as a Polling Station
There is no dancing on 4 July as the Hall is booked for a full day event
Please contact Carole if you are interested in coming along to these Line Dancing sessions.
