Our Pickleball Group is now firmly established with 2 courts (8 players and 4 resting) used regularly and a third court frequently. We meet weekly on Thursdays from 1.15-3.15 pm at Chorley Leisure Centre and so have the option of taking even a fourth court. We are therefore still happy to take new members, and as we are all still beginners no newcomer need feel left behind.
Pickleball is:
• Fun - with elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis
• Played on a badminton-sized court and a low net
• Played with a light paddle and a plastic ball with holes
• Low impact but good exercise
• Designed to take away any advantage to big hitters – no volleying is allowed close to the net!
• Making it ideal & enjoyable for players of all ages & skill levels
We don’t compete, we just play and have fun.
Playing alternate games of about 10 minutes each which allows us opportunities to play, relax and socialise with other Members.
Equipment – paddles & balls - will be provided so:
Come along in suitable clothes with a drink, and have a GREAT time.
Cost £5 payable on the day, and bring a drink if you think you’ll need refreshment.
