2019 Programme

All walks are on the third Thursday of the month starting at 10.00am and will last approximately 2 hours. Walking will be gentle but conditions may be muddy on occasions. There will be guest leaders with specialist knowledge for some of these walks. Please note that where a nearest postcode is shown it can still be some distance from the actual location!

21 February
Paxton Pits – meet in the car park (TL195629). Nearest postcode PE19 6HA

21 March
Summerleys – meet in the car park on Hardwater Road (SP886634). Most useful postcode is beyond the parking area – NN29 7TD

18 April
Waresley Wood – park at the wood (TL256551) which is on Waresley Road between Waresley and Great Gransden. Nearest postcode is not helpful!

16 May
Hinchingbrooke Country Park – park in the pay car park at TL222718. Nearest postcode PE29 6DB

20 June
Bromham Lakes – Park at TL025517 near the end of Lower Farm Road. Nearest postcode MK43 8JB. After the walk we will relocate to Bromham Mill and go to the nearby garden of Roger and Sue for a ‘Bring and Share’ picnic.

18 July
Sharpenhoe Clappers – with butterfly expert Dr Wilf Powell. Park in the National Trust car park at TL063305. Nearest postcode MK45 4SH

15 August
Cooper’s Hill – park in long lay-by near rugby ground on Woburn Street, Ampthill (TL028381). Nearest postcode MK45 2HX

19 September
Langford Common – with Betty Cooke. Park in the overflow car park of Langford Garden Centre SG18 8SD (TL181401)

17 October
Brown’s Wood – park in parking area on Twinwoods, Clapham beyond postcode MK41 6HP at TL024544
