Wouldn't it be great if we could go back to our teenage and young adult years and the music of that era? Do you remember those heady, carefree days when Juke Box Jury and Ready Steady Go were on the television and pirate radio ruled the waves? Well, for two hours every first and third Thursday of the month you can relive that time at the Singing for Fun group sing along. From a choice of two hundred plus songs (£5 for the song book) you can chose to sing your favourites. No singing ability is required of you, only your enthusiasm for singing the songs from that era.
Our resident guitarist, Don Alison, provides the necessary backing and lead vocals and recently we were able to stream some of the songs and original artists to provide backing for singing. Any budding instrumentalist who would like to help Don will always be welcome.
So, if you fancy two hours of musical nostalgia please come along whenever you feel the urge to participate and relive those memories. We currently have plenty of room.
