Bedford

Membership

Membership of Bedford u3a is open to anyone who is in their 'third age' - the time in peoples lives when they have the opportunity to explore new interests and learning, simply for the sake of it. There is no minimum age, but it is aimed at people who are no longer in full-time employment or raising a family. It is a registered charity. Almost one thousand local people belong to it.

The benefits of membership of Bedford u3a include:

  • Recreational and study groups (see Groups page) developing interests and learning in a friendly and relaxed environment.
  • Open Meetings every month with an interesting talk (see Events page)
  • Trips, outings and occasional holidays (see Travel Club page)
  • The ability to start your own group if a specific interest isn’t covered, subject to reasonable demand and cost.
  • Quarterly Bedford u3a Bulletin, monthly Enewsletter and the National Third Age Matters Magazine.

And above all:

  • Meeting people, making friends and enjoying their company.
