Open Meetings

For all Bedford u3a members and anyone in their 'third age' who is interested in finding out more about Bedford u3a. An Open Meeting takes place twice a month: on the first Tuesday of each month at Putnoe Heights Church, Putnoe Heights, Bedford, MK41 8EB and on the third Tuesday of each month at Addison Centre, Addison Howard Park, Bedford Road, Kempston, Bedford, MK42 8PN. Both meetings start at 10am.

Details of the talks and speakers are listed. Members pay £1.50 for each Open Meeting attended. In return they get a cup of tea or coffee, (please bring your own cup/mug), biscuit and a complimentary raffle ticket with a chance to win a prize. The proceeds help with meeting the costs of speakers and running Bedford u3a.

If you have a recommendation for a speaker or have an idea for a talk or would like to be involved in booking speakers please speak to or contact our Speakers' Secretary Mark Haines.

Unforeseen circumstances may arise which make it necessary to change the speaker programme at short notice but we will always do our best to keep you informed - Mark Haines.

Trips and Holidays

We have an energetic group of members who do a splendid job in organising trips and holidays for members. Brief details of trips and holidays are given below but full details are given in the Travel Club page.

Groups

Details of groups' events are given in each group's page but occasional 'one off' events will be shown here as well.
