Art Appreciation - Your Way

The Art Appreciation group aims to provide a forum for the study and discussion of artists - their life, times and body of work.

An artist is chosen in advance of each meeting, and members carry out their own research of the artists life and work - as much or little as they wish - in preparation for discussion and sharing of their ideas during the meeting.

Members may also take the opportunity to reproduce examples of the nominated artist’s work - either as straight copies, or modified in some way to their own choice - eg altering the content, style or medium from that of the original. These reproductions are also shown and discussed during the meeting.

Again, the reproduction of artist’s work, is at each member’s discretion, and not a pre requirement for attendance.

We aim for a relaxed sharing of views on the work of a range of artists ancient and modern.

We meet on the second and fourth Thursday of each month, between 11.00 and 01.00 at the Slepe Hall Hotel in Ramsey Road.
