Website Review
What is this group about?
Our St Ives (Cambs) u3a website is being migrated to SiteWorks (see the SiteWorks project, and upgraded to some degree at the same time. This is the responsibility of the Web Manager (Peter Cooper), and the new site should be live by the end of June 2024.
Peter is working with a technical group (Website Editors), who will be able to edit web pages on the new website and support Group Convenors in editing their own pages. Unfortunately we technical people do not necessarily understand how other people see and use websites, but we are aware that they can be difficult to use.
This Website Review group (or team) are members who (while being mostly non-technical) are happy to look at parts of the website and provide fearless feedback to the Web Manager. The overall aim is to make the website "useful, up to date, and used" to all [u3a!].
The immediate need for this team/group is during the migration. Whether the group continues after June 2024 is up for discussion, but feedback is always useful.
Who can join?
Absolutely every member can join, whatever your online skills or experience (including none). We want to make the experience of using the website as fun and easy as possible. To do so click on the blue envelope to send a message to the team/group convenor.
You can of course provide feedback without being a member of this particular team/group. The way to do that at the moment is to email the Web Manager.
