Out and About
|Facilitators||Gwen Johnstone & Marbe McNeill|
|Time||1st Wednesday of the month|
Next Outing: All meetings are cancelled until further notice due to Covid-19
The Out and About group goes... out and about! There will be outings to either local venues in and around Glasgow or further afield - Edinburgh , Ayrshire etc. Some may be half days and others whole days and they will usually involve lunch. Transport to the venues will either be by public transport, a member's own car or car sharing as arranged.
This group provides members with opportunities to visit and learn about places they would not necessarily go to on their own, as well as providing opportunities to socialise with other members.We have a team of organisers to help plan the outings and suggestions for future outings are welcomed. Any member may volunteer to plan an outing of their choice and submit to the facilitators for early consideration.
For further information or to join the group please contact Gwen by clicking on the Message Bird.
Coronavirus: Until the threatis over we have decided to limit our outings to local venues which do not include costly coach hire as it is anticipated that numbers will, in general, be down. We are also very aware of the dangers of self-isolating too early in the current panic, so we do want to carry on if possible. We will review the situation mid- summer and, hopefully, will be able to offer some coach trips in the Autumn.
