Computer Help
Facilitator | Robert Humphrey |
A lack of computer skills can leave many older people isolated from scattered families, or excluded from their community so we try to redress this for our members through mentor tutors.
For the IT beginner, we use a 'buddy' system where you will be paired to a volunteer member who has knowledge of computers, and together using local library computers or their own they can follow a programme for beginners free of charge. Support can also be given on the use of iPads, tablets, e-readers & printers. This individual support can take place in the member's own home or in some libraries.
Once the beginner has practised enough to comfortably use a computer, they can forge ahead independently using readily available study material or draw on the experience of more advanced members to progress to higher skill levels. There is always someone in the group who can help with a particular problem, so if you would like some help with an IT problem contact Robert by clicking on the Message Bird.
This support is only offered to our members.
