Genealogy for Beginners
Facilitator | Anne Martin |
Meetings | Newton Mearns Library - Learning Centre |
Time | 1st Tuesday of the month at 10am - Noon. |
Interested in finding out more about your ancestors and their way of life? Then come and join our friendly group of enthusiastic amateurs and prepare for some exciting discoveries.
In the Genealogy for Beginners Group we help each other to create our family trees through the sharing of information and ideas. The Learning Centre has free access to the Ancestry Library Edition. As well as our regular meetings, we attend sessions at the Mitchell Library to learn about the archival resources available to the family historian, or spend a day researching our family trees at the Scotland’s People Centre in the Mitchell.
We welcome anyone with an interest in learning more about their Family History, but is unsure how to go about it.
If you would like to find out more, come and join us for a 'taster' session. We look forward to meeting you!
Please make sure that you have carefully considered our Personal Risk Assessment before attending.
