Knitting and Crochet
Facilitator | Rosalind Holmes |
Meetings | Eastwood Health Centre |
Time | Friday fortnightly at 2 - 4pm |
All actual meetings are cancelled because of the Covid-19 virus outbreak, but meetings are taking place on Zoom at 2.30pm - details by email.
These meetings are as much a social gathering with plenty of chat and banter as well as opportunities to hone or develop your knitting and/or crochet skills. Just bring along your yarn, knitting needles and/or crochet hooks and pattern and enjoy creating - we also share our patterns and ideas. The group consists mainly of knitters and there is a great deal of expertise if anyone requires any help or support with their project. However if you wish to do crochet work, many of us also have crochet experience.
Some people knit for themselves or their families, whilst other members knit garments for various charities in Scotland. We have knitted for the Innocent Big Knit which supports Age UK and hats and baby jackets for the Ethiopia Medical Project and the special baby unit at RAH Paisley.
The two groups are the same, but group 1 is now full.
