Enjoy The Arts
The Arts are defined as: “the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination to produce works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.” (OED). So if you are someone who appreciates all aspects of the Arts and enjoys going to exhibitions and performances then this is the group for you! The range of Arts covered includes painting, sculpture, ballet and music. The events are usually either preceded by a pre-theatre meal or some other refreshments during or after the event

Monday 15th June - Drumlanrig Castle 15 miles north of Dumfries Travelling from Rouken Glen at 9.30 leaving Drumlanrig Castle at 3.30. Fine Art and Decorative Arts Tour lasting approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Cost of tour £300 for 20 people attending cost will be £15 Tea/Coffee and Shortbread on arrival £3.00. Lunch Soup/Sandwiches/Cake/Tea and Coffee £9.00 Members can bring a packed lunch to enjoy in the grounds. Coach cost dependent upon numbers.
Sunday 21st June "Elektra" Royal Opera House Screening showing at Eastwood Park Theatre at 2.0 p.m
Thursday 16th July Exhibition on Screen - "Frida Kahlo" Screening at Eastwood Park Theatre starting at 7.00 p.m. Cost £10
August Pittenweem Arts Festival date to be confirmed visit will be subject to sufficient numbers to enable travel by coach
