Canasta

Canasta Group

The Canasta Group, like most of the other groups in our U3A, is small but perfectly formed. We meet in each other’s homes and enjoy a not too serious and sometimes hilarious evening of this interesting card game. The group comprises some experienced players and some who claim to be novices.

We meet at various times and locations during the month.

The Canasta Group has a core membership of 14 with an average attendance of 9 at each meeting and still meets in each other’s homes.
These evenings are very much enjoyed by the members and the light-hearted, and sometimes hilarious, atmosphere has been maintained. As some of our members are or have down sized their homes the membership is at the maximum but if more people wish to join it will be necessary to form a second Group meeting on another evening.

Anyone interesting in learning this game should please contact the Group Facilitator, Linda Poulson
