Art & Culture
The Art and Culture Group meet every month to discuss one of a far reaching range of topics, which come under the umbrella of Art and Culture.
The group meets at members` houses at 2.15pm on the 3rd Monday of the month. We are not experts but are fascinated by and keen to learn about the cultures of the myriad of human civilisations that have occurred over the last 10,000 years as well as looking Art that these civilizations have produced.
Examples of recent topics include: the Tang dynasty, mosaics, Artists of the 1st World War and Peleponesia.
One of the group leads the meeting with contributions from other members. Some of the members might use a Power Point Presentation to enhance the discussion, or we may use a DVD, TV programme, books or even a YouTube clip.
At present there are vacancies for new members. If anyone is interested in joining the group then they contact me (Peter) and I can give further information.
