Welcome to Solihull Widney U3A Website
Solihull Widney U3A was formed in 2006 and is one of 15 U3A groups in the Solihull Network area. It has a thriving membership and a wide variety of Events and Interest Groups to suit the needs of a varied membership. At present we have over 30 Interest Groups from Art & Culture to Wine Tasting.
Our normal timetable is made up of
Core Meetings on the third Friday of the month
Special Interest group meetings, which are also mostly monthly
Periodic day trips to places of interest and group holidays.
Core Meetings include interesting talks given by visiting speakers and are held at Solihull Methodist Church starting at 10:00am and finishing by 12:00.
Special Interest groups meet monthly and details of these can be found on the website. While Covid was prevalent in the area and restrictions on group activity were in place most Interest Groups moved over to Zoom to keep in touch however now that restrictions have relaxed they are back to in person meetings..
