Birdwatching Two is a group formed in early 2019 to accommodate further members with a birdwatching interest. We are all amateurs with limited expertise in birdwatching, but we are keen to learn more and are now fully subscribed. However space may arise so please make contact if you wish to join us.
We have decided to meet at birdwatching sites within Rutland, twice per month, at 9.30am for approximately 2 hours:
On the 1st Wednesday of each month
On the 3rd Monday of each month
Malcolm Boyd is co-ordinating the group, while Peter Hammond is guiding the group at each meeting.
Binoculars and outdoor footwear and clothing are essential requirements as only a few sites have sheltered hides and most meetings involve some country walking. You are advised to bring water to drink and consider head protection on hot sunny days. On colder days please wrap up well as the hides can be cold and windy, or we may be out in the open and staying relatively still.
For further information, please contact Malcolm Boyd via the U3A messaging facility
Details of meetings through 2019, and now into 2020, can be seen by clicking on one of the links to the right of this page.
Our next meeting is to be arranged and is dependant upon current social distancing and self isolation measures under the Covid-19 outbreak.
