DATE AND FREQUENCY: 3rd Thursday of each month
DESCRIPTION: The group is named after Raven, the original coordinator.
Walks start around 10.30 am and are of 2 to 2.5 hours duration ( 4-6 miles), normally followed by a pub lunch (occasionally a picnic).
Leaders for each walk are volunteers from within the group. They choose a suitable walk, survey the route prior to the walk (carry out a risk assessment) and provide a suitable description of the walk in terms of length and difficulty (terrain, stiles etc.) so that group members can ensure it is suitable for them. The walk leader is also responsible for ensuring there is adequate parking at the start of the route & making appropriate lunch arrangements.
