28 sightings…Robin, Chiffchaff, Blackcap, Wood Pigeon, Mistle Thrush, Marsh Tit, Blackbird, Blue Tit, Jackdaw, Long tailed Tit, Crow, Mallard, Great Tit, Chaffinch, Dunnock, Cormorant , Magpie, Goldfinch, Garden Warbler, Cetti’s Warbler, Great crested Grebe, Mute Swan, Black headed Gull, Sparrowhawk, Willow Warbler, Starling, Swift, Sand Martin.
Also heard but did not see Stock Dove, Goldcrest, Pheasant, Wren, Song Thrush.
11/04/24. Egelton Nature Reserve. 6 members led by Jill Mayhew. Weather warm and pleasant.
31 sightings… Blue tit, Great tit, Goldfinch, Chaffinch, Blackbird, Wood Pigeon, Mallard, Robin, Swan, Song Thrush, Willow warbler, Black headed Gull, Chiffchaff, Wren, Osprey, Cetti’s Warbler, Jackdaw, Canada Goose, Great crested Grebe, Gadwall, Coot, Common Tern, Redshank, Avocet, Barnacle Goose, Lesser black backed Gull, Widgeon, Moorhen, Cormorant, Little Grebe, Dunnock.
02/04/24. Lyndon Nature Reserve. 8 members led by Helen Jezequel. Weather perfect. Calm, mild spring sunshine.
35 sightings…Long tailed tit, Wren, Wood Pigeon, Pied Wagtail, Blue tit, House Sparrow, Mallard, Pheasant, Blackbird, Reed Bunting, Chaffinch, Cormorant, Gadwall, Robin, Great tit, Stock Dove, Goldfinch, Greylag Goose, Canada Goose, Blackcap, Chiffchaff, Crow, Lesser Redpoll, Mute Swan, Tufted Duck, Jackdaw, Osprey, Great Crested Grebe, Moorhen, Black headed Gull, Pochard, Great Black backed Gull, Goldeneye, Buzzard, Songthrush.
19/03/24. Led by Saya from Allerton project research farm. 7 members. Weather mild, some brightness but mostly dull and damp.
An educational tour around farmland. 13 sightings…Red Kite, Pheasant, Crow, Pigeon, Chaffinch, Great tit, Blue tit, Mallard, Yellowhammer, Buzzard, Skylark, Chiffchaff, Gadwall. No record was made of birds heard.

36 sightings…Crow, Jackdaw, Blackbird, Canada Goose, Mute Swan, Mallard, Great Egret, Widgeon, Tufted Duck, Shoveler, Coot, Teal, Pochard, Black Headed Gull, Pintail, Lesser Black backed Gull, Curlew, Little Grebe, Wood Pigeon, Blue tit, Bullfinch, Great tit, Pheasant , Greylag Goose, Gadwall, Cormorant, Oystercatcher, Reed Bunting, Dunnock, Starling, Magpie, Lapwing, Snipe, Moorhen, Great crested Grebe, Robin. Also heard Wren and Song Thrush but not seen.

06/02/24 Eyebrook reservoir. 10 members led by Helen Jezequel. Weather mild with strong blustery wind.

Also heard Skylarks but they were not seen.
