Bus Pass Travels
GROUP LEADER: Fay Taylor
VACANCIES: The group runs through the summer months so we have no vacancies at the moment.
VENUE: We usually start our journeys at the Bus Station in Oakham as most of the members live in town, but members can join in at any point of the trip. The number of people on trips varies; it could be anything from three upwards. Once at the destination we usually split up into groups and meet for refreshments before the return journey.
DATE AND FREQUENCY: We don't have a set date in the month for travel; the organiser chooses the date.
DESCRIPTION: The Bus Pass Travel group was formed over four years ago and currently has fifteen members.
The members take turns at planning trips to local towns, villages and places of interest using our bus passes for the purpose of sightseeing, shopping or dining. We usually travel once a month, starting in March and finishing in December for a pre-Christmas lunch or tea.
The places we have visited so far include:
Lydington, Market Deeping, Grantham, Whitwell Woods, Belgrave House in Leicester, Loughborough Bell Foundry and Crowland.
For obvious reasons please note that the group members have decided that it would be unwise to arrange any trips for the moment.
If you think that you would like to join our group, either singles or couples, please contact Fay Taylor.
