Creative Stitching
This group meets fortnightly at the St. Saviours Community Hall.
This group has spaces for new people interested in artistic stitching.
Please contact the Convenor via the pigeon on the website.
There is no restriction on numbers, level of ability or interests. It is a self-help group where people come with their own projects and stitch, knit or crochet etc. in a friendly atmosphere. Advice and ideas for projects are offered if requested and everyone's input is welcomed.
At the moment, we have a group of around 12 people who come along on a regular basis. Their projects range from traditional stitching, through layered fabric landscapes to more experimental embroidery. A basic sewing kit is essential, but people seem happy to share threads and other equipment whilst individuals relatively new to modern embroidery techniques build up their own stash.
