Padel 1 (Wed)
Padel Tennis is the fastest growing sport in the world
It is suitable for all ages. It is a racquet sport and combines elements or tennis, squash and badminton. It is played in doubles format with a solid padel as opposed to a strung racquet. The scoring method is the same as in tennis, though Serves are underhand.
It is played in a 10m x 20m glass box court and balls can be played off the walls.
Courts are available on a pay-and-play hourly basis (minimum of 4 people) presently £16 per court or £4 per person. Balls and racquets are available. Padel racquets are for hire at £5 per racquet. Currently 3 purpose built courts available.
We presently have a Monday group at 2pm, a Wednesday group at 3pm and a Thursday group at 10am, all at Guernsey Tennis Club, Longcamps, St Sampsons (next door, nearly, to DHS)
No previous skills necessary, coaching is available.
The groups are full but use the Pigeon to contact the Convenor to be added to the waiting list
