Padel 2 (Thurs)
Padel Tennis is the fastest growing sport in the world
It is suitable for all ages. It is a racquet sport and combines elements or tennis, squash and badminton. It is played in doubles format with a solid padel as opposed to a strung racquet. The scoring method is the same as in tennis, though Serves are underhand.
It is played in a 10m x 20m glass box court and balls can be played off the walls.
Courts are available on a pay-and-play hourly basis (minimum of 4 people) presently £32 per court or £8 per person. Balls and racquets are available. Padel racquets are for hire at £5 per racquet. Currently 5 purpose built courts available ( 2 outdoor and 3 indoor)
We presently have a Tuesday group at 10.30am, a Wednesday group at 2pm and a Thursday group at 10am, all at Guernsey Tennis Club, Longcamps, St Sampsons (next door, nearly, to DHS)
No previous skills necessary, coaching is available.
