Day/Time2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month at 10:30 - 12:30

This month, once again as part of our winter programme we held both our meetings at the Plymstock Oakes Rugby Club.

The theme for the March meetings was mobile phone photography. This was something which we thought was worth investigating in more detail, as modern phones have excellent cameras built in and of course most people have them with them all the time. We took some “still life” images and shared our knowledge of the features that we had found and used on our own phones. We also encouraged members to down load Snapseed, which is a very good free editing app. It allows you to do both simple and advanced editing by swiping icons in the program.

We are a friendly group of photographers, with a wide range of photographic interests and experience. The aim of the group is to improve our skills by sharing our knowledge with each other, but also by learning from the practical experience of taking and showing our photos to the group. We do this by setting a topic for the month and having one meeting as a “photo shot” and the second meeting to show and constructively comment on the best 4 photos we have produced on the topic.
