The talks will take place at The Mountbatten Centre where we will be required to buy a drink to cover the cost of the room.
IMPORTANT NOTICE - Due to the Coronavirus situation the group is suspended until further notice.
I know this is a local history group, but we haven't done much of that.
There are three ladies that are not on-line who Jean and I are phoning regularly.
I have also got some people making hearts and ear savers for the ICU at Derriford and now we have started making scrubs bags for there also. Some are donating bedding, others making the scrubs bags and I am going to go round to pick completed things up.
I have also told the group about Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'The Shows Must Go On' on YouTube, also Mathew Bourne’s Ballet which is on Sky Arts.
I would welcome any other ideas from people in different groups, I am well aware some members don't know how to use YouTube or don't have Sky Arts.
April 21st Another new speaker, and he took a lot of tracking down, is Adrian Wilton who will be talking about Churchill’s Secret Army.
May 19th Anida Rayfield will give a talk on either the Parkers at Saltram during the Georgian Period, or the Bagg Family at Saltram in the 17th Century to tie in with the Mayflower 400.
June 16th Charlestown Museum tour and lunch. Please see Pauleen for further details.
July 21st Exeter town tour. Further details to follow.
The group is full and I do not have a waiting list.
