Quiz No. 35 on 27.11.20

Hello Fellow Prisoners,

Not long to go now before the end of lockdown and we emerge into ???? I have almost lost track of what we can and cannot do. If we are polite about the people in Saltash though, they might walk half way across the Tamar bridge and pass a glass of wine to us!

Clever folk the Cornish, they have managed to stay in Tier 1. In fact Denzil, a friend of mine in Saltash, is very smart. He was asked by a Charles, tourist from London,

"What is the quickest way to Liskeard".

"Are you walking or driving?" asked Denzil.

"Driving," said Charles.

"Then that's the quickest way" said Denzil!

Enjoy or endure the quiz.

And now for the ANSWERS to Quiz 35

Hi Everyone,

Another lovely sunny day today with dry weather and some sunshine promised for tomorrow. All helps to make the lockdown pass a little easier. (If like me you sneak out into the sunshine with your factor 50 on!)

Things have eased a little but not much. The problem is that if you want to have a little tipple, you have to buy a full meal. The people who have several drinks a week are going to be waddling along the road if this carries on. It will look like America.

Have been looking at a few amusing headlines from the press and thought they might make you smile:

  • From the New York Post - "Satisitics Show That Teen Pregnancy Drops Off Significantly After The Age of 25." (Oh really!)
  • From the Daily Echo in England - "Stolen Prosthetic Arm Found in Second Hand Shop"
  • From The Toronto Sun- "Missing Woman Unwittingly Joins Search Party Looking For Herself"

Hope you had a good score in the quiz.

Bye for now.

Bob
