This month saw us return to pre COVID numbers, with 31 members turning up to exercise their brains, including four very welcome new members. I even had to stretch my own brain this month as the husband and wife team of John and Wendy set and delivered the questions, enabling me to take part in the quiz. (Sorry Sally, I wasn't much help!)
Some of the questions were real memory joggers and the questions where we had to name the song and artist, given the clue of the words from a couple of lines from the song, resulted in some real off key humming and finger tapping in trying to bring the song to mind.
Next month I'm afraid you will have to suffer from my questioning again, but I hope that won't put you off ! We meet again on April 10, as usual at The Staddy, commencing at 19:30. Hope to see you there, especially as it will only cost you £1 again this month!
We will always welcome new members and anyone who thinks they are not `up to it` will be more than welcome. Come along, you will probably surprise yourself when you discover all those gems of knowledge tucked away at the back of your brainbox, just bursting to emerge into the light again. Even if you don't have flashes of inspiration, it is a team game and as much a friendly social gathering as anything. Second Wednesday of every month, 19:30 at The Staddy. Don't worry if you do not have a ready made team, we can always shuffle around to even the numbers up.
