IMPORTANT NOTICE - Due to the Coronavirus situation the group's meetings are suspended until further notice BUT some members are painting at home and have shared 45 paintings between members of the Group, some of these will soon be displayed on the Website.
Since we were last in contact, I have been encouraging my members to stay in touch by sending me pictures of any paintings they have done over the last few weeks of the lockdown.
Although the response was a little slow to begin with, more members have been inspired to forward their work and I must say that I have been overwhelmed by the response. So much so, we are building up quite a gallery of paintings – a pity we cannot open to the public! Judging from the feedback I am receiving it is clear that the group are really enjoying seeing members’ work.
Although I am personally not able to do video conferencing, one of my members was able to take part in a 6-way zoom meeting with distant members of her family to do a hands-on workshop and the results of her handiwork were very impressive.
Along with the ‘art stuff’ I include the odd amusing video and anything which I think might interest the group.
- March 26th
- April 9th and 23rd
- May 14th and 28th
- June 11th and 25th
- July 9th and 23rd
There are no meetings in August
We have experienced artists and complete beginners sharing skills and ideas and enjoying good company.
The water colour workshop with Richard Woodgate will now take place, hopefully,
early in the New Year. In the meantime it would be helpful if you could give some thought as to what particular subject/aspect you would like covered so that I can discuss our ideas with Richard.
Now that this group is full please contact Di Hanson, who Leads Painting 2, to see if she has room, see details on the website.
