Having spent the last year looking at the development of classical composition through the ages from 1725 to 2000 and whether major events of the time influenced composers we found, as in all things, there are a few innovators starting different trends that are then taken up by others.
This year the group have chosen to look at different Ensembles. September brought us an eclectic mix of the unusual ensembles from the single lute played by two players via a helicopter quartet, 100 metronomes winding down to the very latest in underwater singing and playing.
The rest of the year continues as follows:
October – Ensembles from Opera
November – World Ensembles
January – Jazz Ensembles
February – Musical Ensembles
March – Choral Ensembles
April – Solo instruments
May – Small Ensembles
June – Bands
July – Early Musical Ensembles
August – Orchestral Ensembles
