For information about the operation of Droitwich U3A groups during the current pandemic, please see the table of Currently Active Groups at the start of the Groups page.
Walks are in various locations usually within a maximum of a 30 minute drive from Droitwich Spa. The group relies on its members to lead walks but there is no compulsion to do so. All walks are generally pre-walked by the Walk / Group Leader in order to confirm the route, check on walking conditions, and assess any potential risks. There is no limit on numbers attending but it would be helpful for members to email the Group Leader prior to the day of the walk to advise them that they will be walking although it is also possible to turn up on the day at the Start Point. Members are expected to be suitably clothed and equipped taking into account the type of walk, time of year and likely weather conditions.
Full details of the Start Point for each walk (including postcode and OS Grid reference) are provided below, and on the Events Page, together with general information about the walk and approximate length. Members are expected to make their own way to the Start Point and arrive in good time to allow the walk to start at the appointed time. Walks are circular in nature with a Start Point offering parking such as pubs or garden centres. There is usually a refreshment stop approximately half way round the walk and the opportunity at the end of the walk to join other members in having a meal/refreshments at a pub/garden centre/restaurant.
