Spanish Intermediate
Every Wednesday afternoon, between 2 and 4pm
Description of group - The group is informal, friendly and meets weekly on a Wednesday afternoon between 2 and 4pm. At the moment, our group is either meeting in person, via Zoom, or sometimes a hybrid of both. When we meet in person, it is in each other's homes which are generally in the Chester area. Members of the group are at various levels but all understand basic vocabulary, verbs and grammar. We are a self help group, we have no teacher, and so take it in turns to suggest content which can be used for each week's session. This may be a video, (eg. from YouTube), a newspaper article for translation, a verb tense or a section of grammar for study or revision, conversation practice, or a game or quiz. We are probably nearing the optimum number for the group but wouldn't want to turn anyone away. If you are interested in finding out whether this group would suit you, then do get in touch, and we'll see what we can do.
We have no equipment, neither are we financed.
Tea /coffee is provided by the host.
Members of the group take turns to host the session.
The Group coordinator communicates to the members primarily through Beacon, but also WhatsApp and Email.
The group meetings take place on a rotation system in members' homes.
Some members arrange between themselves to care share.
We are probably nearing the optimum number for the group but wouldn't want to turn anyone away. If anyone is interested in finding out whether this group would be suitable, we ask them get in touch, and we'll see what we can do.
