How to JOIN
You can join Chester u3a using our on-line membership application form. Please visit the Joining Chester u3a Online page.
Alternatively you may download and complete a Membership form and a Gift Aid form (if appropriate). Please enclose a cheque for £16 made payable to 'Chester U3A' and send to the Membership Secretary, PO Box 167, Chester CH1 9FB. You can download the forms from Links or by clicking here > Membership & Gift Aid forms.
If you are an income tax payer you may complete a 'Gift Aid' declaration form at the time of your application or renewal. Your declaration allows Chester U3A to claim tax from the Inland Revenue, provided that you pay income tax and your Gift Aid donations do not exceed the limit set by your income per year.
How to RENEW
See the Membership Renewal page for the full description of how to renew membership during August ready for the new membership year starting 1st September. It is not possible to renew after October, please follow the joining instructions above.
In normal times you can also call in at any of the monthly meetings held at St Columba's Hall and apply for membership in person. Unfortunately this is not available until we start meeting again post Covid-19 lockdown.
Queries and Address Changes
Contact the Membership Secretary if you have any queries or if your personal information has changed e.g. email address. You can also update your personal information via the Beacon Members Portal.
For the year starting September 2021 we are providing 'electronic' membership cards to all members with an email address in our records. You can print these out if you want a hard copy or you can save them on your mobile to show if/when required. There is a short video of how you save your card image onto a mobile here > How to store your membership card.
