News from U3A Knitting group

We have seven members with a wealth of knitting skills. Our Norwegian member has introduced us to some fascinating knitting done in Norway. Most of us are now knitting slippers, each made up of 8 squares joined together and then folded and stitched up.You then wash with a pair of jeans on a hot wash. Miraculously appears the shrunken knitting as a pair of felted wool slippers. Combining this with tea and cake makes for very enjoyable afternoons!
