We held the first meeting on 12th September and as expected the fluency ranged from beginner to fluent with the majority being the former or members who had not spoken French for some time.We all said something about ourselves in French. The focus is on “conversation” rather than grammer. We have acquired copies of a book “Salut! Ça va?” or “Hello, how are you?”. Anybody visiting Paris has been given a web link to a great programme, a bit like the London underground map, and if you click on one of the dozens of squares you are taken straight to a page with photographs of the main buildings in the area together with an explanation, in French of course, of what you can do there.
I regret to say that the Group is closed to new members as we are already have 11 participants. However, let me know if you wish to go on a waiting list.
