HOLIDAY with Cheshunt u3a
Monday 12th August - Friday 16th August 2024 (5 days - 4 nights) to Hayling Island.
For the August 2024 holiday to Hayling Island, the balance will be due at the April meeting.
Amount due is £375 per person, cheques to be made payable to Waltham Abbey Travel.
We will be travelling to Hayling Island on two coaches, the larger coach will remain to take us on our planned excursions. The smaller coach will return on day of departure.
Excursion currently planned:
One full day excursion to Portsmouth on Tuesday or Wednesday per member.
One half day excursion on Thursday to be arranged at a later date per member.
There are many attractions in Portsmouth to visit, some of which involve an entrance fee, tickets purchased in advance on the internet may carry a small reduction in cost.
In order to ensure that we all have equal opportunity to benefit from this, I do need you to advise me of the day you wish to visit Portsmouth, prior to purchasing any tickets, in order for me to ensure that there is room on the coach.
The half day excursion can be arranged at a later date, along with your preferred pick up point, top of Cadmore Lane or outside Papa John’s, Old Pond Cheshunt.

AUGUST 2023
Our holiday to Gunton Hall went well, the weather was extremely kind to us. We enjoyed three excursions during our time away. I think the highlight of those was the trip to Southwold where the sun shone throughout our stay.

AUGUST 2022
On Monday August 8th 46 members set off on our first U3A Cheshunt holiday, for a 5 day holiday to the Isle of Wight. The weather although extremely hot did not stop us having a great time, with members making there own arrangements to explore the island, while others enjoyed the 3 planned coach excursions Cowes for the morning on Tuesday. Around the island trip stopping for a sort while at the Pearl factory with several of us making some purchases, followed by a nice scenic ride on to Shanklin for lunch, before continuing our journey through the lovely countryside back to Norton Grange on Wednesday. On Thursday morning our last full day, the morning was spent at Allum Bay with free time to explore.
It may have been our first holiday, hopefully, it will not be the last.
